True Theatre presents trueMAGIC

A long-asked-for theme, well ABRACADABRA… you got it! We’ve got a thing or two up our sleeves for this show, but all you need to know is that “trueMAGIC” will include stories that will delight and surprise you!

This show will be ASL interpreted thanks to Cincinnati State and their ASL Interpreter Training Program.

True Theatre presents trueCOMIC

Stand-up comics, the Sunday comics, comic books, class clowns… The theme can go a number of ways. One thing is for sure, though, there will be a lot of humor in the stories shared at “trueCOMIC” (but you’d be wise to prepare for the occasional pull on the heart-strings too). Bring your silly putty and leave with the wonderful impression that our stories will have on you!

This show will be ASL interpreted thanks to Cincinnati State and their ASL Interpreter Training Program.

True Theatre presents trueSIGN

Signs are all around us, literal and metaphorical. It’s a good sign that you’re reading this, for example, and while that may not make for a great story, the folks who we’ll be signing up to share on this evening will have great stories to tell!

This show will be ASL interpreted thanks to Cincinnati State and their ASL Interpreter Training Program.

At Least It Wasn’t Boring: A One-Man Storytelling Event With Joe Boyd

Joe Boyd takes the Memorial Hall stage for the fourth time in his career to premiere his new one-man storytelling show, “At Least It Wasn’t Boring: Confessions of a Man in Search of his Purpose.” Joe will recount his own lifelong quest for meaning and purpose in this often humorous, sometimes poignant, memoir created for the stage. Pulling from his diverse and meandering professional journey as an improviser (Second CIty, Groundlings), actor (General Hospital), movie producer (A Strange Brand of Happy, Hitting the Nuts) pastor, teacher, author, entrepreneur, poker player, and a failed Las Vegas wedding chapel officiant, Joe will use his own story to show that we are all on a  journey to find our true selves.

A comedy show that is unafraid to be serious at times, At Least It Wasn’t Boring, promises to inspire and leave attendees open to the next new adventure that lies before them.
