Visual arts and symphonic music coalesce in an evocative celebration of our armed services as Memorial Hall proudly continues its century-long mission of honoring Cincinnati veterans. 

Tickets to the Queen City Concert Band performance are free of charge, but reservations are required. Tickets are not required to view the Veterans Art Exhibition. 

 

Queen City Concert Band – Honoring Our Veterans Concert 

Sunday, November 9, 2:00pm 

Memorial Hall’s longtime resident wind symphony will be honoring the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy, and the U.S. Marine Corps, along with the rest of the armed forces. The symphony will offer a variety of patriotic selections honoring the various branches of the military and the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform who have protected our nation for all these years. Reception immediately following concert.

Cincinnati Veterans Art Exhibition  

Experience a showcase of work by veterans participating in the Cincinnati VA’s Creative Arts Therapy / Recreation Therapy program. Mediums included in past veteran shows have included painting, drawing, sculpture and photography; applied art that includes ceramics, woodcarving, needlework and leatherwork; and craft kits such as string art, fabric art and wood building. This exhibition is part of a veteran’s therapy and provides recognition for their artistic accomplishments. The exhibition also shows off equipment and opportunities for adapted sports programming offered at the VA by Recreation Therapy.
