Gina Belafonte on Arts & Activism

GINA BELAFONTE DISCUSSES ARTS & ACTIVISM: THE BELAFONTE LEGACY

Woman’s City Club is proud to present Gina Belafonte at our 32nd National Speaker Forum. Actress, producer and social activist, Gina was the lead producer on the internationally acclaimed documentary film, SING YOUR SONG, exploring the extraordinary life and legacy of Harry Belafonte, her father.  Like him, Gina uses her art as a tool for healing and inspiring transformational change.

As Co-Founder and Executive Director of Sankofa, Gina embodies her father Harry Belafonte’s work to activate artists and allies in service of grassroots movements and equitable change. She enlists the support of today’s most celebrated artists, influential individuals and grassroots partners to elevate the voices of the disenfranchised and promote peace, justice, and equality, as well as cultural and civic engagement.

The National Speaker Forum benefits Woman’s City Club, a local civic organization that works to educate, empower, and engage the citizens to act together in promoting the common good. Attend the lecture only for $50 or buy a VIP ticket for $150 that includes a private reception with the speaker. To purchase at higher levels, click on Underwriter.
