Join Woman’s City Club on Tuesday, April 6 as they welcome Julia Angwin, award-winning investigative journalist, bestselling author, and nationally recognized voice on technology, privacy, and accountability, for its 2027 National Speaker Forum, The Courage to Fight for Freedom.
Drawing from her newest book, On Courage: How to Be a Dissident in an Age of Fear, Angwin will explore what it takes to speak up, challenge powerful institutions, and stand firm in our convictions when doing so comes at a cost. Through compelling stories of individuals who have chosen courage over conformity, she examines why dissent matters, what holds us back from speaking out, and how ordinary people can find the courage to act when it matters most.
Angwin is a New York Times contributing Opinion writer and the founding director of the Independent Media + Audience Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy.
Join Woman’s City Club for an engaging evening about courage, conviction, and the power of individuals to make their voices heard.
