Matinee Musicale presents Dover Quartet
This much-admired ensemble studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. They were catapulted to international stardom after they swept a series of noteworthy awards: the 2013 Banff Competition, the Avery Fisher Career Grant, an inaugural Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award, and top prizes in the Fischoff Competition and the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition. Their 2015-2016 season
included debuts at Carnegie Hall, Yale University, Lincoln Center and the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland. In 2017-2018 they performed more than one hundred concerts across North America and Europe.
