Jazz at the Memo presents Jazz, The American Music of Freedom: A Tribute to MLK

Starting September 20th, all patrons (age 12 and over), employees, contractors, vendors, and volunteers must wear a mask AND provide proof of full vaccination status OR a negative test result within the past 72 hours to attend performances at Memorial Hall.

Bop those winter blues as Jazz at the Memo returns to historic Memorial Hall. By popular demand, the series returns this winter to the beautiful and acoustically superb Anderson Theater, giving an opportunity for casual fans and jazz aficionados alike to select seats where they feel most comfortable. Enjoy the finest of Cincinnati’s thriving jazz scene, including some of the region’s premier women and BIPOC artists.

Memorial Hall is committed to keeping patrons and performers safe through the following measures:

  • All patrons (age 12 & over) must provide proof of vaccination, or negative test within 72 hours of the performance.
  • Masks required for patrons at all times when not actively drinking a beverage.
  • Utilizing safer steam heat to warm the building.
  • Constant cycling of fresh air into the building via our Dedicated Outdoor Air System.

Please see our full health screening protocol for more information.

Beginning in May, the party moves across the street to for Washington Park’s “Jazz at the Park,” Monday evenings through September (excepting holidays).

The Unity Band strives for a harmonious integration of its members, such that the musical result is an emotional evocation greater than the sum of its parts. The program features all-original compositions and interpretations, expressing the spirit of freedom and diversity which the word “Jazz” embodies.

Featuring Greg Chako (guitar), Matthew Holt (bass), Lee McKinney (drums)
